Chad Ford's latest mock draft has Nuggets taking Power Forward

+

You must have ESPN insider to read Ford's mock draft, so I linked the player page for Jeff Pendergraph instead. Ford has the Nuggets selecting the experienced 22 year-old, 6'10'', 240 lb. senior from ASU. He averaged 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds for the Sun Devils last season in 35 games. Pendergraph Jeff Pendergraph | PF | Arizona State It was no secret that the Nuggets needed help on their front line this past season. Pendergraph is big and experienced, two pretty rare commodities in this draft.

Broomfield losing the 14'ers to Dallas

2

The Denver Nuggets will have to find a new minor league team. From the Article by Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post: The Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League will be bought by the Dallas Mavericks and moved to the Dallas area by 2010, a source said Wednesday. An official announcement is expected today at a news conference at Dallas' American Airlines Center. 14ers coach Bob MacKinnon confirmed the team was moving, but declined to talk about where. "It will be moving from Broomfield," MacKinnon said. MacKinnon's 14ers, who won the D-League title this past season, couldn't get enough fans to attend their home games. Neither could the Rocky Mountain Rage, a Central Hockey League team that also called the 6,000-seat facility home. -------------------------------------- As for the Nuggets, they will have to latch on to a new D-League team. There were 16 teams last season. Though the 14ers will not be a part of the league next season, it will grow to 17 teams because of expansion teams in Springfield, Mass., and Portland, Maine.

Simmons explains the 2008-2009 Lakers

Finally somebody talks about how much better the Lakers team was ... not specifically Kobe. The monkey of winning without Shaq may be off Kobe's back, but he still needed that dominant big man to get the job done. This is THE team game.

David Aldridge of NBA.com talks about Finals Conspiracy Theories

5

Every year, every nutbag with a computer and a complete lack of imagination writes some version of the following: David Stern wants the Lakers and (fill in the blank team here) in the Finals. You know the refs are gonna make that happen. The NBA is rigged. It's no better than pro wrestling. .......... Now, you know where you're reading this, and you may know what I do for a living. So you can dismiss this as butt-covering by a league apologist who works for one of its television partners, or that I doth protest too much. Can't stop you if your car is already going down that road. But over 25 or so years in this profession, I like to deal in things that us fancy-pants reporters call "facts."

Johnny at Nuggets' Nuggetz has a hilarious mustache post!

In lieu the typical game preview I decided to give a Playoff Stache update. More important than the update however, I decided to give a look at what the Nuggets players would have brought to this brilliant idea had I informed them of it in advance of the playoffs.

Denver Stiffs with another entertaining Nuggets article

Dear Fellow Non-Lakers Bloggers and Non-Lakers Fans, It's been said that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. And today - and through Sunday night only - I am seeking your friendship and rooting interest on behalf of my beloved Denver Nuggets. Because we desperately need your help. You see, as many of you have experienced in recent years, we are on the verge of being yet another small market franchise to be knocked out of the playoffs by the Evil Empire known as the Los Angeles Lakers.

Nuggets not happy with Game 5 Officiating

Kenyon Martin almost had to put the towel he was wiping his brow with over his mouth as the questions came at him one by one. Standing in front of his locker after the Lakers beat the Nuggets 103-94 to take a 3-2 series lead Wednesday, Martin simply shook his head each time he was asked about the officiating late in the game.
