ESPN.com's Marc Stein and Chad Ford are combining to report that "the Nuggets resistance to trading star forward Carmelo Anthony is fading away." The article also cites the Nets as pushing hardest to acquire Melo.

Scott Schroeder: The Timberwolves released Greg Stiemsma today. According to his Twitter feed, he's worked out with Denver and San Antonio over past 2 weeks Obviously not important, but maybe they invite him to camp. He did put up good DLeague numbers... Also earlier it was reported Denver is inviting some British center to camp too... I hope they also bring in Karl and a SG/SF to try out.
Our friend Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports has joined his colleague Adrian Wojnaworski in the "source with knowledge of the situation" routine by claiming that Carmelo Anthony's desired locations are now Chicago and New York. What this means is that Spears - like Wojnaworski - is talking to friends of Melo's who claim to know what's going on.
