Chris Marlowe on Twitter: "I saw [Danilo Gallinari] light run the court today..."

Altitude TV's Chris Marlowe has been keeping a close eye on Denver Nuggets small forward Danilo Gallinari's rehab and Tweeted out a couple key items today:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Gallo Update: I saw <a href="https://twitter.com/gallinari8888">@gallinari8888</a> light run the court today-3 two minute shifts. According to <a href="https://twitter.com/SteveHess1">@SteveHess1</a> Gallo is making &quot;solid progress&quot;.</p>&mdash; Chris Marlowe (@ChrisMarlowe) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChrisMarlowe/statuses/409091878546866176">December 6, 2013</a></blockquote>

It's great to hear that Gallo is running, but we're also hearing there is still no timetable for his return. The six minutes of running on the court are progress to go along with the rehab work that Jeff Morton and I have seen from Gallinari at Nuggets practices - including light shooting (threes and free throws mainly) and strength conditioning.

Gallo had said that he hoped to be ready by the end of November or early December, but it was always guess-work by the forward. I had predicted a Dec. 15th return for Gallo, but it's not looking like that will happen. Here is what I said in a "8 predictions" piece:

2.) Danilo Gallinari will make his debut on Sunday, December 15th at home against the New Orleans Pelicans. There's no secret that Gallo is eager to get back on the floor. It has been awesome seeing him walking around the Pepsi Center practice court and doing some very light shooting around the basket. The Nuggets start the month of December with a six game road-trip and upon returning home, the team will hold Gallo out of the Friday the 13th game against the Jazz and he'll debut on Sunday night to a rocking ovation. But Gallo will only play in 45 games or less as he'll miss 22 to start, not appear in back-to-backs, and miss a little time with routine setbacks or a nagging injury or two.

It is progress that Gallo is starting to run, even in short stints. We'll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for any updates on Gallo, as will Marlowe.
