Missing 2 of their starters and stars, the Nuggets lack of complementary scoring and especially perimeter defense killed them in the playoffs. What follows is a 4 part plan to add perimeter defense and wing scoring depth:

What if the Nuggets could:

Trade Barton and Morris with the 30th pick to Toronto for OG Onunoby and Gary Trent Jr,

Draft Nikola Jovic with the 21st pick,

Sign Gary Harris with the mid level exception (and possibly using the traded player trade exception from the Jamychal Green trade) and

Sign Euroleague MVP and Serbian natioanl Team standard PG Vasilije Micic

Add those guys to the core 4 of Jokic, Murray, MPJ and Gordon, with Jeff Green off the bench and retain (hopefully) Boogie. That would be a championship team for years to come.

Jokic, Gordon, MPJ(?) Murray and Trent/Onunoby

Bench:

Boogie, Jeff Green, Onunoby/Trent, Micic, Hyland, Nnaji
