Nuggets Lack Team Leader

After the Nuggets lost to a depleted Atlanta team last night, it has become crystal clear this team lacks a true team leader. While Jokic is a great player, he doesn't light a fire under anybody when the team doesn't perform up to snuff. More distressing, this team seems to have more Chief O'Haras than Robins to partner with Jokic. When I say that, I don't mean on the offensive side of the ball. Murray, Porter, and Gordon can all complement Jokic's scoring. But what I do mean is that no one sets a tone defensively for this team. No one gets under the opposing players' skin. No one gets in the face of teammates when a defensive assignment is missed. Champions have that guy. The Nuggets don't. And until they do, I don't think this team can be the Lakers, let alone the Suns, the Bucks, or the Celtics in the playoffs.
