"We’re just loaded" - Veteran JaMychal Green Speaks Upon Return to the Nuggets

Despite attracting interest from a couple of sides, veteran forward JaMychal Green said he didn’t have to think much about it when he hit free agency this last summer.

Even before Denver Nuggets got swept by Phoenix Suns in the second round of the playoffs, JaMychal Green knew he wanted to return.

He said last week via best usa online casino, "I pretty much had my mind already made up before the season ended," "I already knew that I wanted to come back here."

Green penned a 2-year deal worth $17 million with an option for the second year, according to league sources. His contract, which came a little after the start of free agency Aug. 2, showed the mutual interest Denver Nuggets had long shown.

Philadelphia, New Orleans, Milwaukee, and San Antonio were all keen on signing the 31-year-old veteran player, a league source disclosed. Minnesota even contemplated a possible sign-and-trade for him, as per the source.

But in only one campaign, the legend saw firsthand why foreign observers are so bullish on the future of the Nuggets.

Green said, "Playing alongside Joker and Jamal (Murray), just seeing the growth of Michael Porter Jr., the addition of Aaron Gordon, it just felt like the right fit, Monte (Morris), P.J. (Dozier), Will (Barton). We’re just loaded this way."

As bad as Murray’s ACL injury was, JaMychal Green said the toughness showed by the Nuggets without their second-best player was a key factor. After Murray injured his ACL on the 12th of April, the team closed the campaign 13-5. That tied for the third-best record in the league over the last month of the regular NBA season. That Denver went on to crush the Portland Trail Blazers in six matches despite playing without their starting backcourt which was even more informative.

"It built character for us as a team," said Green, who insisted many times how much the culture and the fit meant to him.

He said via real money casinos, "Feel like we had unfinished business to take care of … We got the right group of players to make a run (this season)."

There was periodic frustration last spring while JaMychal Green battled other veterans of the game JaVale McGee and Paul Millsap for playing time over the last six weeks of the regular NBA campaign. Between himself and Millsap, there was a flowing pecking order which saw the two veterans rest even when fully fit and healthy. That ostensibly has been entirely solved with the acquisition of Jeff Green. The move not only corners the market on Greens but adds to Nugget’s frontcourt flexibility.

JaMychal Green said he loved the signing. Both forwards have the ability to stretch the floor while defending several positions on the court. In retaining one and adding another, Denver gave priority to versatility and shooting over rim protection.

When Denver Nuggets eventually landed Green during the offseason last time, it was the climax of a years-long pursuit to bring in a player of his attitude and skillset. The Nuggets liked his attitude from afar and wanted the same mentality in their team.
