Hello friends. Wasn't the best week for the Nuggets, was it? Could've been a lot worse though, and it's still only October. The MVP is fine and we have a lot of basketball ahead of us. One of those games was last night against Dallas. So how'd it go?

(Quick disclaimer: I call this game two because it's the second game I've attended this season, and not because it has anything to do with the actual Nuggets schedule. Just wanted to clear that up.)

1. One thing I forgot to mention last week is that masks are required to attend an event at Ball Arena. And as we all know, starting November 10 there will be even more rules in place for everyone's safety. However, as it was pointed out to me on Twitter this week, there really isn't much enforcement in terms of making sure folks are wearing those masks at their seats or anywhere else. Hopefully that's something that changes soon.
2. Wound up being a bit late for this one (yeah, it happens to the best of us) and missed who took the first shot.
3. Last night was the first game of the season where I had to kick people out of my seats. It won't be the last. People really can't find their way at this arena.
4. The couple sitting in front of us were dressed as Joker and Harley Quinn. Their relationship seemed pretty healthy compared to the characters they were portraying.
5. Other notable costumes that I saw: Slash from Guns n Roses, Pikachu and a zombie witch. Rocky dressed up like Michael Jackson and did the Thriller routine with the Nuggets dancers. Fun stuff.
6. Lots of Luka jerseys in the house. Pretty decent smattering of Mavs fans too.
7. I don't recall the gal's name who performed at halftime, but she was hella talented. Reminded me of Cirque du Soleil.
8. The Nuggets whooped the Mavs so badly that the deep bench got some playing time. The crowd cheered loudly when Bones checked in and even louder when he drained a couple threes. Bol Bol drew an equally enthusiastic reaction.
9. I'm pretty sure it's the first time I've seen Bol Bol play live (or at least the first time in a couple years), and dear lord does that man have skinny legs. I was personally terrified for him every time he left his feet.
10. "The Mavs fans are leaving in droves," I said to my dad, who was with me. Then Joker looks back and flashed the "L" sign with a smile. Yep, they took that L on the way out.
11. An off night for Rocky. Wasn't even close on the halfcourt shot. Maybe that was someone else in his costume?
