Denver Nuggets Tweet of the Week: Michael Porter Jr. takes to social media after breakout game

The Nuggets’ game against the Indiana Pacers on January 2, 2019 will forever be known as the MPJ game

On Thursday night against the Indiana Pacers, Michael Porter Jr. gave NBA fans a glimpse into the future. In just 22 minutes, MPJ scored a career high 25 points on an efficient 11-12 shooting, to go along with 5 rebounds. He quite simply could not have done more in the time that he was given, and if you’re a Nuggets fan that was not smiling from ear to ear or jumping up and down in your mind, then I would check that you still have a pulse.

Not only did the Nuggets get a win to start 2020, but hopefully MPJ’s breakout game coming at the start of a new season is symbolic. If he continues to get minutes and continues to produce with those minutes, then we may be talking about Porter Jr. a lot in the next year.
