Wild Wild West

When I think about what's gone down in this crazy offseason I think back to the late 80's and Kool Moe Dee's song "Wild Wild West". I think he said something like "....Cause losing's one thing we don't play
If you're ever in a fight and you're beating one of us
Break out, before you get bumrushed….."

This upcoming season is going to be a drag it out fight to get to the playoffs and there will be some teams "breaking out." However, before we get there I keep thinking about how these teams rank right now after all the moves have been made so far. If I ranked them right now with my gut this is what I have:

1. Clippers - Solid core was already in place before Leonard and George were added.

2. Utah - Adding Conley and Bog to another solid core may put this team over the top or close to it.

3. Lakers - Lebron is older but he is Lebron and he will be well rested and so will Davis.

4. Portland - Portland pretty much has everyone back except injured Nurkic. Whiteside is a good addition to help with that..

5. Denver - I love the addition of Grant which will really help us. However, our young core needs to continue to develop. Consistency.

6. Houston - I easily could have placed Houston above Denver but I am going to wait and see how Harden and Westbrook work out.

7. GS - They lost Durant and Thompson's out for awhile so it hurts but don't sleep on them.

8. Dallas - I think Doncic and Porzingis will be another interesting duo.

I think after this you will see SA, Phx, NO and Sactown and possibly Minn. pushing Dallas for the 8th position. We will see where Paul ends up but I am not sure OKC does much with or without him.
