RE: Masai Ujiri, George Karl and Dopplegangers

Back when Masai Ujiri and George Karl ran the Nuggets floor show and in their final season together, to the best in the NBA West. Sadly, then saw the team exposed like a bad strip show the wheels literally fell off. Masai jumped ship to go where he claimed was his NBA home, Toronto, and all I read and heard from the Sports Shows was how Masai was going to win it all soon because he was a genius at talent discovery.

Well, so much for that idea, I suppose.

Just like his last year in Denver, best record in East, home court, goodnight Irene.

People blamed George Karl for the Nuggets collapses. I always said it was also talent, desire and motivation. Melo had talent, JR had, well, JR. Gallinari has talent but always comes up short or injured.

My point here is that George Karl should feel a bit vindicated. Yeah, he always came up short, but for Masai hinting at and sportscasters saying the Nuggets faults were all George Karl has something real to chew on. Masai cloned the Nuggets he built in Toronto and they blew it. Not blew it against a young up and coming team, but blew it to a team that may blow up after this season. In my opinion, a team they could have beaten. Indiana took Cleveland to seven games, Toronto was the better of the teams.

But then, Cleveland is 14 - 2 against Toronto in the last 16 games. Ouch.
