I Threw A Basketball At Michael Malone And Hit Him In The Head

I dreamed that a threw a ball at Coach Malone and hit him in the head. I was at Pepsi Center and it happened right in front of the whole arena. One of the best dreams I have ever had! I been to 10 Nuggets game this year, paying customer, supporting the team. Even I was in the Nuggets Press room and stood in front of their locker room just last week (when I was doing work at the Pepsi Center. Even when I was 20 years old I actually met, Owner, Stan Kroenke (yet I was too afraid to talk to him, my bad)

I regularly read the comments section on this site, but I do not participate often. First, Ray Martinelli, are you Tim Connelly using a pseudonym? You constantly are tweeting about the Nuggets and supporting the establishment ideas such as Kenneth Faried is the problem and Michael Malone is doing well. Both of those things are wrong. So much advanced stats about other teams in our division, and specifics of NBA transactions. If you are a real NBA person and you are too intimidated to use your real name, brother, that is not good. No wonder the team will not play hard for your regime.

Malone is the wrong guy all along. It should be Quin Snyder as the Nuggets coach, for goodness sake Josh Kroenke was his first ever recruit at Missouri. He has never felt as connected to Shaw, Malone, or Connelly. Was just trying to prove he could do it without Billups but, it is not too late to try that route. Results speak for themselves, no playoff appearances, below .500 record, departures of notable staff including Ed Pinkley, Chris Finch and Melvin Hunt.

Moe

What was the point of the Doug Moe documentary? He plays with pace in Denver, they win games but don't advance far in the playoffs. Geroge Karl the same. That is Nuggets basketball. Why was the attendence so lousy last season. You got them trying to run plays and play defense like it is the Eastern Conference. Stick to your strengths, the advantage is the altitude. There is a sign that warns players exiting the locker room about the 5,280. It is right in front of your face.

Draft

Conspiracy theories aside, the obvious blunders made by the coaching staff/management this year started all the way at last seasons draft. Pass on Donovan Mitchell, miss on the OG rookie SF, miss on Kyle Kuzma. A lot of water under the bridge, but poor execution of your plans. So the narrative that Tim Connelly does well on drafts is false. The NBA is not a draft driven league. A lot of teams throughout league history sign free agents from other teams to win.

So the new strategy that Denver must do is sign a player into the front office to recruit free agents. That guy is Chauncey Billups. He passed on the Caveliers job but still claims to be interested in working for "one of the 30 teams in management." I was at the Nuggets game versus the Cavs and Billups was the announcer. They announced it to the crowd he got a standing ovation. We need a guy who is well-respected in the league, not a guy with experience as Martinelli said in a recent comment thread.

I think that the other teams that advise the Nuggets give them false information. The trades in the division - each one has been a boon for the partner. Nurkic is on the 3 seed blazers, Mitchell and Gobert are on the 7 seed Jazz, add in 2017 that Tyler Lydon and Eric Green were out of the league (and Mason Plumblee was out of the starting lineup) and it is so obvious why I threw a ball at the coaches head in my mind. Disrespect!

It is also clear to me that there is actually a sabotage happening to the coaching staff. Offensive assistant Chris Finch leaves to another western conference opponent. The players won't play for Malone. Millsapp misses 44 games, and comes back injured and hurts the team upon return. Malone said so emphatically that Tori Craig is an NBA player, but the new GM will not move Malik Beasley to the D-League so that Craig can contribute on game day.

Faried/Manimal/Minimal

And that is notwithstanding Kenneth Faried. Faried is going to get another coach fired. The Coach killer that he is. But this is the NBA. I would rather fired 10 coaches than let the abilities of this man sit unused on the bench. The Nuggets in March got outrebounded so bad! Such as the Lakers game at LA (loss) or the Heat game in the 4th quarter. Who is the teams best rebounder? It is still Faried. Gotta set that ego aside and get this man some run. At the season opener versus Sacramento I was in the stands, paid money, to put my money where my big mouth is and support the team. Should have seen Faried that day. BEAST or should I say MANIMAL in the early 2nd quarter. Now his nickname is "minimal" because even when we are up by 30 at home versus the same Sacramento team in March and the crowd is chanting his name, Faried rides the pine.

Garris

The other players see this. Suddenly when it counts the most, the late season 7 game roadtrip, Gary Harris gets hurt. How are you going to blame an injury on the coach- well put it this way, Harris does not even want to come back for this man. If a former player (such as Billups) who actually knows what it is like to play games in the league were to ask "Garris" to come back, he would respect the guy enough to try.

Barton

Instead you got Malone lamenting that "certain players (Will Barton) are firing up quick threes after a tournover" on the road versus, I think, Toronto. Barton can see, "Man I better get resigned to a new deal, this coach is gone anyway... get your stats up. He does not even play our best rebounder anyway so we are going to have to win not at full strength. The game plan is irrelevant"

PF

Going on to Power Forward Log Jam, it really speaks poorly of your own team when you cannot find a trade partner. Juancho, Lydon, Chandler, Faried, Lyles - how is there no market for these guys? You got veterans, young guys, cheap contracts, expiring contracts (slightly longer than one season) GM has to make a decision here. Generally manage Arturus, that is your job. If the guys are not SF, dont ask them to play SF. Lydon and Juancho are not going to be able to make the switch, then move on. Package them, find your Jimmy Butler. A former player could do it. Don't blame it on Stan Kroenke either, he signed whoever you guys wanted and he has been doing it with his other teams including the LA Rams. This is the fault of management, not ownership.

How about Julius Randle? Isaiah Thomas, Iman Shumpert, Marcus Smart, Blake Griffin, Rodney Hood. All these players changed teams, presumable meaning they were available. Instead you end up with Devin Harris and all these apparent bench warmers (Malone's choice.)

Jokic/Joker

Saving the best for last, if you guys don't play to this mans strength then you risk losing him for nothing. Jokic does not like to share in the front court. Plain and simple, he gets high stats because he likes the ball in his hands. So give him the ball. He is the boss. Put him with a PF who can catch lob passes (Faried) and let him play in the high post. That is our plan. Let him get rebounds and throw outlet passes. Sink or swim playing to his strenghs.

Plumblee, Millsap - when paired with these teammates Jokic played worse. When it was our best stretch in February, it was Lyles and Wilson Chandler paired with the Joker. Was I the only one who noticed? No Adam Mares was preaching it in Podcast almost everyday.

It gets me back to the main point that the team sabotaged Malone from right out from underneath him. Teams gave bad advice about who to trade and who to acquire. And still in the same place we were 5 years ago. How I long for the days of GK, at least we made the playoff.
