TPM™ Per-Minute Splits Through Game 69:

Final Thoughts: That sound you heard was the death rattle, not only for the Nuggets playoff hopes and lottery positioning for the third consecutive season, in roughly the same time frame each year but unfortunately (for him, his family, his fans, his friends, his admirers which believe it or not, in many ways I am one), also for Coach Malone.
Three straight mediocre years despite roster improvement/development, yielding strikingly similar results means that the writing HAS to be on the wall. That is not only a lack of progress, but regression, all things considered.
Here's hoping that Josh Kroenke is the man of action here, because I fear Tim Connolly's Crack-More connection with Michael Malone is what's lead to so many frustrating decisions being made in terms of leeway, despite the overwhelmingly confounding, recidivist errors in decision making, exhibited by this extremely likeable human being but just as extremely underwhelming in-game coach.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; Malone would likely be a top five assistant coach in this league, he simply lacks the imagination to be a successful head coach.
