Kinda late to be talking trades, but we'll need to make some changes for next season to stay competitive

Looking forward to this summer, one player that would really play well in this offense would be TJ Warren. He is not a perfect player but he is the perfect complement to Jokic. Only Gary might rival him as the best cutter in the league. The Suns are probably not looking to trade their best player outside of Devin Booker, however, they are likely looking to add to their assets and useful players as they rebuild.

We are going to need to send out money to balance out the expected Nikola Jokic maximum deal this summer, the Suns have room on their books to swing a deal. A major hole they are going to need to address is their starting center. Tyson Chandler, turning 36 next year, is an expiring contract they will likely want to move for assets or let his deal expire for relief. Separate from Chandler, a deal for Warren, the guy currently blocking Josh Jackson from starting, could mean sending out Plumlee, who is quickly becoming too expensive to be the backup, as the salary cornerstone of the trade. Others would obviously need to be added to the deal. Prospects such as Hernangomez could entice the Suns because their own power forward prospects have underperformed. The most important piece would be to add some type of first-round considerations. The price is steep for Warren but he will be under contract for the next four years for 50 Million. In today's standards that is a nice price for a guy that can get you 20 points a night.

The added benefit is solidifying the small forward spot, a position with very little depth, with a guy coming into this prime. Chandler's usage has dropped significantly. I'm not sure if it is age related or due to a diminished role; however, it could be the writing on the wall the team might be moving in a different direction, considering he has a player option next season.

Overall, I think we shouldn't worry too much about next season because we are looking at going to the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, fingers crossed/knock on wood. But it shouldn't mean we get complacent with this roster, the front office has got an eye towards the future if we are going to move towards winning a title. Let me know if this is reasonable or if I'm straight bonkers. I'd love to get more opinions and consensus of the fan base as I am new member and only recently become a nuggets supporter.
