Juancho and Trey

Both great talents and I appreciate Malone dedicating so much to their development, but I've had a huge issue with Malone's lineups recently: in particular, not recognizing and adjusting for subaverage play...

Juancho had no business playing late in last night's loss to the Bucks. While stats do not show much, he was ineffective, uncontrolled, and nervous, yet played the final 8 or so minutes of the game. A more effective player in his place could have been the difference (#where's Torrey?! or why not Mason and Nikola together?)

Similarly, Trey got way too much play time against the Pelicans. Trey has a huge body and can play incredible defense, but he has a bad habit of losing aggression and watching the plays from the side of the court. Malone needs to recognize and sit Trey the Spectator when he's in that mode.... Against the Pelicans, Trey lacklusterly jogged the floor for like 12 straight second half minutes and was a key difference in us losing, despite hitting a few buckets.

Oh and can someone please tell Trey and Paul to stop shooting long balls? Trey's at 24% 3s. Both are great when they drive and shoot with their bodies leaning towards the hoop... This lazy low % stuff is hard to watch.

We're legit and I think a little more awareness could have won 4 of the past 6 close losses...
