If anybody had any doubts that Jamal Murray is going to be a star in this league and a staple of the Denver Nuggets franchise for years to come, hopefully Murray put a lot of those doubts to rest on Monday night by scoring 38 points in an extremely efficient manner while making important shots down the stretch in a close game. And if even that game did not quiet your doubts, then the Tweet of the Week might. This was Chauncey Billups' reply to a fan on Twitter that wanted to know his thoughts on Murray's performance on Monday:
That kid is the truth..I love watching him hoop for my hometown Nuggets. https://t.co/oBpjPTirnW

What else does anybody need to finally admit that Murray is the real deal then confirmation from none other than "Mr. Big Shot" Billups himself. Billups will always be a beloved member of the Nuggets community, no matter how long it's been since he's donned a powder blue jersey, and it's great to see that he's still invested in his hometown team.
What makes this tweet even more amazing is that it prompted this response from Murray:
Asked Jamal what he thought of Chauncey calling him “the truth” on Twitter after #nuggets practice today.

His response?
“It’s the truth.” https://t.co/fThpwqVBuo
So, there you have it. Murray confirmed that Billups was right in confirming that Murray is the indeed the truth.
