Denver Nugget contracts. Our Nuggets are growing up

Kind of sad our best player, Jokic will be our lowest paid player this year (not counting the 2-way contract players)

They said they are working on an extension for Gary Harris. What is Harris's true value for a contract? No one will be throwing a max deal at him. I see him in the 12-15 mil range. Would love to see Harris and the Nuggets agree to a 4 years and 60 million. 15 mil / avg . risk on both sides. If he doesn't get any better than what he is now we are overpaying but if he keeps making leaps every year it would be an underpay.

Jokic will be getting the 5 year max deal.

Barton - Nice player but he really doesn't fit our need going forward. Beasley / Murray can fill that role. They are younger and will continue to grow with the nucleus. The team would be better off trading Barton for a future 1st rd pick as all teams need scorers.

Nelson - Will be a FA at the end of the year and will move on im thinking. He could also be used as trade bait if some other team needs an injury replacement.

Chandler has an opt out.. I see him opting out IF he stays healthy all year long.. big IF and securing his last big contract of his career.

To free up money:

Arthur is under used and overpriced for his 10 min / game. 7.5 mil He has a ETO and i doubt he will use it as no team will give him that in the open market.

Faried being a glorified dunker at 12.9 million needs to go as his last year of his deal goes to 13.7 million.

Chandler like i said above has an ETO as well. I see him using it. I would hate to lose him for nothing but if we are in the thick of the playoff race and he is "Healthy" he will stay though the year and probably opt out. SO that will be 12 mil off the books.
