5 things to know about Tyler Lydon

The Nuggets first pick of the draft came at No. 24 after a trade with the Utah Jazz

The Denver Nuggets selected Tyler Lydon with the No. 24 pick in the draft, after trading the No. 13 pick to the Utah Jazz for Trey Lyles and a later pick.

Here are five things to know about Lydon:

  1. Tyler Lydon grew up in Elizaville, New York, a town so small, it’s still referred to as a hamlet.
  2. Tyler Lydon was named to the 2017 ACC All-Academic team, and is a communications and rhetorical studies major.
  3. Tyler Lydon had a stretch in his sophomore season where he played 450 consecutive minutes, 11 straight games where he played every minute for Syracuse.
  4. Tyler Lydon’s mother played basketball at Duchess Community College, and taught him to love the game of basketball from an early age.
  5. Tyler Lydon’s family are Knicks fans.
