Analysis: Just the facts ma'am.
Qtr1- Jokic picks up his 2nd foul at the 5:30 mark (both horrendous decisions by Big Honey.) He's -8 TPM thus far & DAL is up by 8. Nuggets cut it to 4 with three to play, behind solid play by Chandler, Murray & Plumlee. Why have they not bought Ally a new mic, or correct whatever audio issue she is having? It's been 4 straight games of her cutting in and out. Murray & Beasley force back to back air-ball 3's from 30 feet by DAL. Murray has 5 points, 5 assists and is +13 TPM, but Dallas leads after one 26-23.
Qtr2- Nuggets take the lead at the 9:30 mark, 34-33. Beasley is playing very good ball right now. 7 Nuggets have at least 5 points so far. Dirk is the first player for either squad to reach double digits at the 7 minute mark. Beasley is unconscious, and joins him with 12 points in 11 minutes (a new career high in scoring.) Denver is up by 7 with 5 to play. The Human White Flag has 5 assists in 9 minutes, and the ball is zipping around in the Denver half court in a way that only seems to occur when he is in. Why none of the other Nuggets have stolen this trick through practice osmosis is beyond me. Dirk nabs his 2nd foul with 2:30 to go. The horizontal lines on the Dallas court are extremely unpleasant on the eye, particularly as you watch transition. Barea is the 2nd Mavs player in double figures. Finney-Smith picks up his 2nd foul. Jokic complains entirely too much. This has to annoy officials. Denver leads at the half 57-44.
Halftime: No smoke break for me. Rockies game = scheduling conflict.
Qtr3- Harris is the 2nd Nugget in double figures. 8 Nuggets now have six+ points. Plumlee is the 3rd player for Denver in double digits. Harris is the 3rd player for DAL in double figures after 5 minutes of play. The Mavs cut the lead to 8 at the 3:30 mark, after several sloppy passes by Denver. Murray is the 4th Nugget in double digits. No players for either team are in foul trouble & Dirk has 21 to lead all scorers, but behind Murray's +21 TPM Denver leads after three, 83-75.
Qtr 4- Juancho is the 5th Nugget in double digits. The Rockies and Friars are knotted up at 2 heading into the bottom of the 7th. Rookie pitcher Senzatella went 7 strong innings and departs with a chance at the win. Juancho has some serious butter-fingers tonight. Yogi is the 4th DAL player to reach double figures. Absolutely zero defense is being played in this one. The Rockies take the lead on an Arenado big fly! Romo is having almost no impact on the floor for the Mavs tonight. Denver now has 9 players with seven+ points. Denver's starting back-court has combined for 17 assists thus far. Powell is the 5th plauer to reach double digits for DAL. Murray has a 2d (assists), and Harris and Miller both flirted with a 3d, as Denver wins 109-91.
