Analysis:

1st Half- Nurkovic, Nurkovic, Nurkovic, Jokovic Jokovic, Jokovic zmf7u1.0.0.jpg

From "Being John Malkovic"

My 2 cents: Jokic is far from skinny, and Nurkic is far from fat. If anything, we have that in reverse (well ok, neither are skinny). There. Now that that's out of the way... No Jokic tonight, out with an illness, so Plumlee gets the start. I'm hoping that Hibbert assumes his normal backup role, and not one of our undersized forwards, that have proven ineffective all season long at the 5. That lipstick is just too much Ally. Here's hoping that Ray placed his bet prior to the Jokic announcement, scurried to cancel it, and we win in a blowout anyway to spite him. Nuggets open with 2 threes, both assisted. Beautiful outlet by Plumlee results in 2 for Harris. I don't know how Chandler is supposed to guard WCS. Jeorger does us a favor and takes him out at 8 minute mark. Chandler with 13 points already. I wonder what Ronnie K is doing right now? My guess is he's kicking it with Joe the plumber (similarly to Ronnie, who is not actually a journalist, was not even actually a plumber), miles away from Pepsi Center. Darth is apparently our backup center tonight. No problem with that, IF we would have started our two 7 footers against theirs. No foul trouble to speak of for either team, as 1st comes to a close, 25-22 Nuggets. I Jinxed us, as Barton quickly picks up 3 fouls, but that means more Chandler/less Barton on d, so I'm good with it. It also allows Murray to handle the ball, something that has yet to occur much since his insertion. Darth having his best game in some time. WCS picks up his 3rd foul. Murray playing excellent d tonight, and he compliments Darth well on both ends. Jameer getting a long rest, but really, it's never long enough. 2nd unit sharing the ball well, playing good d. Jameer replaces Murray at 6 minute mark. Juancho is too loud on his ft attempts. Too many moving/swaying parts, primarily in his legs. Kings, predictably begin Jameer's reinsertion with a 7-0 run. All starters now in for Denver at 3 minute mark, up 5. Sweet assist by Jameer on a bounce pass, leads to a Plumlee dunk. Thank you for finally joining us Jameer! Nuggets starting to make hay at the ft line. Kings have no answer for Chandler who now has 21. Plumlee nabs his 3rd foul as the half comes to a close, Denver 57 - Sacramento 50.

2nd half- Juancho's new-do reminds me of this dude s6885j.0.0.jpg from the Philippines pro league. Starters moving much better offensively to start the 3rd. A very good sign. Also playing much better d. I should have said "I don't know how WCS will guard Chandler", apparently. Nuggets now starting to turn the ball over. Harris is playing much better tonight. WCS picks up 4th foul at 7 minute mark, with Nuggets up 14. Big night thus far for all Nuggets starters but Jameer, with apologies to the artist formerly known as MM22. Was Marlowe just referring to the TPM ft made assist and giving credit to Adam Mares? Sure sounded like it. Chandler is scoring at a point a minute rate tonight. Jameer starting to redeem himself a bit, in terms of distributing at least, and not all good passes are being rewarded with an assist. Chandler with 33 at the 2 minute mark. Crazy ass 30 foot brick with 5 on the clock by Jameer. Nuggets up semi-comfortably, 90-73 after 3. Murray in for Jameer to start the 4th, immediately makes a jump-pass TO. Redeems himself on next play with a Kuni-Lexus drive of the game, for 2. Barton finally contributing late, as has been his pattern lately. Nuggets up 18 with 9 to play. 2nd unit playing VERY good d, but having trouble rebounding. Interesting 3 minute stretch where both teams took nothing but outside jumpers several times in a row each, nearly all misses, followed by nothing but interior hook shots, also nearly all misses. With both teams trading miss for miss/make for make, it seems to be the Nuggets to lose, up 15 with 4 to play. Chandler now pressing, in attempting to surpass his career high. He's sitting on 33 points, with an impressive 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Fuck you Ronnie K! Nuggets starting to settle for outside shots again, while the Kings are attacking the rim. WCS fouls out at 3 minute mark, down 12. 2d for Plumlee, to go with 5 assists. Nuggets trying to backpedal into victory and Kings close it to 9 with 1 minute to play. Nuggets escape with what imho is an ugly victory that should not have even been close, but at least Chandler gets his new career high 36 points. Nuggets win 108-96.

Final Thoughts- Well at least we don't have to look at a hefty dude diving through a swimming doughnut.
