1st Half- At least we get the GOOD ex-Nugget, Barry brother in tonight's broadcast. Weird that TNT is experimenting with the zero play by play, 3 ex-jocks talking over each other comentary. Plumkic starting tonight's game. I hope, but doubt that means we'll see Hibbert at the 5 some. Jokic is guarding/guarded by Randle, which makes Plumlee the 5 in this lineup. Ingram quickly nabs 3 fouls, and checks out at the 6 minute mark. Jameer is playing well in a 1st qtr for once. Barton's no look passes are so prolonged as to be obvious. He may as well just look and make a good pass. Nuggets "Big White Stiff" front-court of Plumkic and Gallo has been highly effective in the 1st. Good to see Barton starting to connect from downtown again. Nuggets end quarter on an 18-5 run and are up big, 35-23. Barton distributing in the half court with 2 straight turnovers, on dreadful passes. Excellent close-out defense by Murray. Every Nugget who has played, has scored except for... You guessed it, Jameer. Jokic picks up 2nd foul, both highly questionable. Harris, Barton and Murray are tightening up the perimeter d, leading to steals and dunks, as Denver stretches the lead to 14 at the 7:30 mark. Jokic is the first Nugget in double figures, but everyone is contributing tonight. FILTHY 2-hand backward pass by Jokic leads to a Barton dunk. Juancho heating up from 3 as the Nuggets stretch the lead to 22. Nuggets could score 75 in the first half. Russell and then Black pick up their 2nd fouls. Barton joins Jokic in double figures. Walton gets T-ed up at 5 minute mark. Transplants loudly cheer for Metta. LA: great place to be...From. Ennis nabs 2nd foul at the 3:30 mark. Plumlee comes in to protect Jokic, who has 2 fouls, and immediately gets a 2nd foul of his own. His name is Hibbert, Malone... Roy Hibbert, in case you forgot who the 7'3 dude is on your bench. Barton picks up his 2nd foul 20 seconds later. Jameer still the only Nuggets player who is scoreless (everyone else has at least 6) but they are up big regardless at the half, 67-43
2nd half- I miss Ally :( . The inmates are apparently running the asylum tonight for TNT. Nuggets start 3rd on a 12-4 run. Nice to see a potential complete game shutout in the works (with the baseball season 'round the corner). Gallo and Harris are now the 3rd and 4th Nuggets in double figures, As they build a commanding 32 point lead at the 9 minute mark. The only Laker in double figures is Zubac. Plumlee now the 5th Nugget in double figures. Jameer has still yet to score, and is doing his patented 2nd half TPM swan dive, down from +9-+1, and the 3rd qtr scoring is now even for both clubs as a result. Clarkson has 8 points in the qtr so far at the 7 minute mark of the 3rd. Nuggets starting to get lazy on d, and the lead is cut to 21 at the 4 minute mark. Jameer FINALLY scores at 2:30 mark, and follows it up with a patented Jameroballl brick. Barton going cold from outside in the 2nd half. Jameer FINALLY takes a seat with less than a minute to play, as the Nuggets play carelessly to close out, allow the Lakers to score 33 and find themselves up just 17 after 3. You stuck with the old farts FAR too long again Malone. Bench plus Gallo/Harris scores first 5 of 4th and are playing high energy, as has been the trend lately. 5 Nuggets with 4 or more assists. I REALLY miss Ally :( . Murray is the 6th Nugget in double figures. Nuggets on 11-0 run to start 4th (do I need to mention that Jameer is on the bench?) Harris is uncharacteristically cold from deep tonight, But the bench unit has the lead back quickly, up to 29 at the 6 minute mark. Barton finally hits from downtown in the 2nd half, and is having a big offensive game. Plumlee now with a 2d, and may once again be our best player tonight. I'd like to see Juancho get some burn soon so he can get into Double digits. No need to risk a Gallo injury at this point, after an earlier knee scare, (the type that he plays through tonight and I wouldn't be surprised if he misses some time as a result.) Juancho checks in upon my request. Harris is the only remaining starter at the 5 minute mark. Juancho drains a 3, and becomes the 7th Nugget in double figures. Murray is vastly outplaying Jameer for the 5th game in a row, and by a WIDE margin. Jameer is an even TPM in 29 minutes, while Murray is + 15 in 27. Not certain why Harris is still in at the 2:30 mark, up 26. Hibbert, Beasley and Mudiay are in for Garbage time. It is unconscionable that Mudiay plays garbage minutes when we have Jameeer playing 29 minutes of garbage. Vicious dunk by Beasley, on Zubac. Nuggets win big, 129-101.
Final Thoughts- 36 assists for the Nuggets tonight! Nice to see the Nuggets put a team away that they are supposed to for once. END THE JANIGHTMERE!
