1st Half- Lovely blue, form-fitting dress Ally. Jokic once again wins the tap against Koufos. Maybe he's figuring out one center at least. Jameer with the water polo rebound. Harris and Hield are struggling to defend one another. Jokic is racking up the defensive boards early. Harris seems to spoil more Jokic assists than anyone else. Jameer contributing in the 1st qtr for the first time since Hector was a pup. 9 boards already for Jokic at 3 minute mark. Starters have all played the first 10 minutes on the 2nd night of a b2b. I may never understand Malone's in-game coaching. Ed: He would likely be the best assistant head coach in the league with the relationships he cultivates, and the behind the scenes work, but I've yet to see anything from him in terms of forcing the other teams hand or even reacting in the correct manner, that tells me he belongs at the head of any coaching staff. Once again, our 2 best players, Jokic & Gallo, are for the 2nd game in a row, the first starters to sit for example. He lost Juka, and is at risk of losing Mudiay with his asinine substitution patterns, despite his reputation as a "players coach". He needs to get out of his own way! Sacramento still hasn't addressed the Ill-Will factor. Jameer and Chandler play the entire 1st. Jameer is a +7 TPM as the 1st closes; Nuggets up 25-19. Bench unit in to start 2nd. Barton is STILL not a pg, Malone (or Will... Whomever is in charge of this team.) Bench unit playing very well, expands the lead to 12. Darth and Murray are once again complimenting each other on both ends nicely. Love that pairing if you haven't heard me mention it 3 games in a row. Juancho is showing his youth a bit tonight. A rebound falls into Gallo's lap, so he decides to grab it. No player for either team in foul trouble at 6 minute mark, as Nuggets starters enter, up 9. Several bad offensive possessions ensue for them. Jameer has regressed to 0 TPM in his 2nd stint (cough he's tired Malone cough!) Lawson is the first player with 2 fouls at 1 minute mark. A rebound falls into Gallo's lap, so he decides to grab it. (Groundhogs day ladies and gents.) Nuggets up 54-44 at the half.
2nd half- Nori pays Mike Miller to say nice things. Jokic with a nice steal, and Koufos takes a "Jokic" foul to kill the "Fast" break. Both teams look very tired to start the 3rd. The crowd is dead silent. A far cry from the Divac/Stojakovic - Sacramento Serb teams of the 90's. Harris blows another Jokic assist. Collison is eating Jameer alive and they are within 5 at 8:30 mark. Jokic has his 2d. Gallo is playing absolutely no D right now. Constantly turning his head to both the ball and his man, sometimes at once. He's replaced by Plumlee, in the first sub tonight I haven't hated. Plumlee (with 5) is the only Nugget with more than 3 assists at five minute mark, and only Jameer has more than one, besides him. Chandler picks up his 3rd foul at 3:45 mark of 3rd, up 5, and receives a knee to the solar-plexus (as they might say in "Professional" wrAssling"). Plumlee is our best player tonight, and has an outside shot at a 3d. Harris now has 20 at 2:45 mark. Jameer and Harris play the first 10:30 of 3rd qtr! The Harris part (he's shooting hot) makes SOME sense, but the Jameer part makes NONE! For the 2nd game in a row, Barton insists on handling the ball for a qtr ending shot, and once again it ends in a turnover. Nuggets up 75-69 after 3. Would love to see Plumkic play the majority of the 4th together. The Kings are playing two bigs at all times, and I'm sorry, but ours are just better. Force their hand for ONCE Malone! Gallo + Bench unit to begin the 4th. Beautiful 2 man game between Plumlee and Murray. Kings cut it to 4 at 10 minute mark. Gallo is out of gas at 9 minute mark, predictably, as the Kings cut it to 2, after he turns it over in the post. Jokic and Harris come in at this point for Plumlee and Barton. Koufos solves the Jokic jump ball situation, after a Murray dunk attempt gets stuck between the rim and the glass. Predictably, Murray is the only guy out there with energy for Denver, amongst 4 starters. DO NOT REINSERT JAMEER INTO THIS GAME IF YOU CARE TO WIN MALONE! Murray is +13 TPM in 14 minutes, Jameer is -1 in 26! Murray draws a 4th foul on Lawson, and calmly sinks 2, to stretch the lead to 7. Koufos nabs his 4th foul at 5:30 mark, putting Denver into the bonus. At 5 minute mark, Plumlee replaces Chandler who is in pain, and SOMEHOW, Malone decides now is the time to insert the ineffective Jameer for the scorching hot Murray! WE ARE NOT TANKING COACH! Nuggets up 9 at 4 minute mark, When Jokic drills a 3. Jameroball brick at 3:45 mark, after a Plumlee steal. Lawson with his 5th foul at 3:30 mark. Someone told Malone about my TPM post, and Murray is coming in at 2:30 mark, but for Plumlee?!?! Aye dios mio! Lawson fouls out, perhaps for the first time ever, at 2 minute mark. Gallo is getting a second wind late. I apologize Gallo. Nuggets starting to separate now, and it's garbage time at 1:15 mark. Hibbert gets his third game action as a Nugget.
Final Thoughts- Jameer is a -4 TPM in 33 minutes! END THE JANIGHTMERE! Murray is legit!
