"Denver in a rare, home B2B, vs perhaps the greatest non-Olympic team ever assembled"
Pre-Game Thoughts: With that said, it's not unfair to mention that Denver has fared better than most against the world champs in recent years. There are match-up issues that GS creates against every team, the Nuggets are no exception, but Denver is amongst the rare, few teams which can present the Dub's with some match-up issues of their own. In the end though, while these are likely the top two offenses in the entire NBA by the time it's all said and done, and Denver's D (three point close-outs from the front court positions, and defending the rim not withstanding) is markedly improved, Golden State will ALSO be the best DEFENSE in the league. Just think abut that!
Just for clarity, all that I'm writing prior to the data and analysis sections, is occurring at around 2:53 Mountain daylight time (RIP MDT) on Saturday, so as to not have any thoughts or opinions tainted by the outcome, since I'm hoping against hope to not have the actual results of the game revealed to me until I'm able to watch on my dvr around 2 am (we'll fudge on the extra hour we gain and call it 1) tomorrow (fudge is delicious, we'll call it today). For the record, I'm babysitting 3, 7 & 9 year olds, not going out drinking or drugging, so the clarity of my writing may be suspect.
Denver Roster:
Will "The People's Champion" Barton,
Juancho "Ironically, No Room For A Nickname" Hernangomez
Richard "The Dragon Slayer" Jefferson
Kenneth "The Manimal" Faried
Trey "Bien" Lyles
Darrell "Darth" Arthur
Tyler "Not just Anunobody" Lydon
Nikola "Big Honey" Jokic
Mason "Plumdog Millionaire" Plumlee
Michael "Mr Imagination" Malone
Golden State Roster:
Quinn "Can" Cook "So Can You. Might I Suggest Delicious Panang Curry?"
"Long" Shaun Livingston
Klay "Coup Ferre" Thompson
Patrick "The Irish Assassin" McCaw
Nick "You Are Not Allowed To Ascribe Unto Yourself A Nickname, No Matter How Ridiculous" Young
Kevon "Chopper, Sick Balls!" Looney
Chris "The Waterboy AKA The Double Entendre" Boucher
David "Best Chest In The" West
Zaza "Gargantuan Illyasova" Pachulia
Damian "I'm Assuming DJ?" Jones
Update: Juancho is out with "The Kissing Disease" for the Nuggets. As for GS, nada. zip zilch, and they have been in Denver for three nights since last facing S.A. Thursday, while Denver is on a back to back and 5th game in 7 nights (just getting my excuses out of the way early so that it hopefully doesn't reflect in the rest of my writing)

Analysis: All things considered, I hope you'll forgive me for forgoing the analysis portion for the evening. Those Kids wore my ass out. Been a long night already, and I'm just getting around to watching at 1 Am, a game that I inadvertently discovered the Nuggets were knee-hauled by the world champs, so 1000 pardons. Only participating in order to keep the data on point, cause I'm about as sharp as a wet noodle right now. As effectual as a football bat.

Final Thoughts- Sorry for the delay. Like I said, Unbreakable plans, but I'll (eventually) cover all 82 games, most of them in real time, and submit them within minutes after the games end, after a quick edit and some simple math, in order to keep the data sound. Though I was looking forward to this game, at least I chose the correct game to not stress over in real time. It's 3:10 am for crying out loud. Bed time. Go Nuggets!
