Jaylen Brown is one of the most interesting players in this draft. He might be the smartest (took graduate courses as a freshman at Cal). He is representing himself for his first contract. He has a team of advisors including professors, coaches, and ex-players (including Isaiah Thomas-who I don't especially like but he was a great player). Brown is patterning his work out times after Kobe Bryant to emulate his work ethic.
He has a lot to work on but appears to be aware of where he needs to improve and is already working on these deficiencies. He had a terrible tournament game but you can't base everything on one game. The only real area of concern for me is his shooting. The Nuggets really need outside shooting and he is just not there. Can he get there? Gary Harris improved tremendously from year 1 to year 2 in the league. Can Brown make that jump from college to the pros? I believe he can and athletically offers more to the Nuggets than most players in the draft.
