Look Ahead to Next Year Nuggets

Danilo Gallinari let it be known he wants to be more competitive next season. So, lets find him some new teammates.

Nuggets targets for next season:

PF Jahlil Okafor - 76ers want to trade him. Never have seen him play in the pros, but I have seen Josef Nurkic play and I am not impressed. About Nurkic, he rushes his shots in the paint and so he misses many layups, he jumps on defense which causes him to foul often, and he is just not fundamentally sound especially on boxing out for rebounds. Okafor does have some games with high point totals including 31 points at Dallas. Okafor can be a superstar because he can be a go-to scorer. The Nuggets need that and have not had a player like this since Carmelo or Allen Iverson. Okafor struggles at rebounding, but rebounding is a skill of Jokic. One can be the scorer the other the rebounder and passer. If there was a hypothetical trade that could lead to Denver acquiring Okafor for Nurkic, I would do it because there is going to be games where Okafor can go for 30 points and I just do not see Nurkic being able to play enough minutes in a game without getting into foul trouble to do this.

DJ Augustine- This just means to re-sign him. He is good.

Harrison Barnes - He is on the Warriors. He knows something about winning. Which is what our Nuggets team leader Danilo Gallinari wants to do next season. It could be a "payback" for Andre Igoudala going to them a couple seasons ago.

SF Denzel Valentine, Michigan State - This guy is a senior but he obviously knows about Draymond Green. He is the NCAA player of the year. He can form a culture of taking basketball seriously teamed with Gary Harris, another spartan alumni. He just seems like the type of wing player who can stay healthy for a full season, which Gallinari and Chandler obviously are deficient at this skill.

SG Buddy Hield - This player can make jumpshots. Bingo! Very notable skill the Nuggets lack. There is also a 6'4" point guard from Providence who I am too lazy to google. And there is Tyler Eulis of Kentucky Wildcats with great ball handling skills. To actually dribble it up and call a play is a skill the Nuggets backcourt does not regularly execute. If we lose Jameer Nelson, than adding one more guard is vital.

You notice all the rookie additions that I suggest went to NCAA schools. It kinda a Donald Trump philosophy I got going on. It is not like a race thing, but I want my basketball players with tattoos and tomahawk dunks. Nuggets are last in attendance! Why is that?

Watching the Spurs game tonight (4/8/16) who was the player that most impacted the final minute of the game on defense? American SG Gary Harris. He had 2 steals and 1 dunk. All the fans cheered. The foreign players have a lot of potential, but the domestic players tend to make the impact plays. The Americans have a little more gravitas and substance and clutchness and "Winning"

I just do not think DeMarcus Cousins is an option. Kings are not going to let him go. Too much Kentucky ties and he is tight with GM Vlade Divac.
