I'm a novice when it comes to basketball I don't know any plays that teams run and I cant tell you how the Nuggets could become a better basketball team. But what I can do is try and help this team find its identity in the form of nicknames which in my opinion are the most important aspect of a great team and its players. So join me on this journey as I ramble on about the numerous nicknames that I believe our beloved Nuggets deserve.

First on my agenda is our young backcourt which I believe in a few years will rival the likes of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson who happen to have the nickname of the splash brothers. I believe that I have figured out the perfect nicknames for our young guards starting with the slash brothers. Since they have both shown the ability to drive to the basket and slam the ball down with the ferocity of a thousand Spud Webbs. Now keeping along the lines of the brothers theme I believe that they could become the stash brothers now Harris has his end of the name down with his I just hit puberty mustache so now all Mudiay has to do is to attempt to grow a mustache that can match Gary's majestic moustache. Lastly I have my most mundane suggestion and that is GE which is because they are both electric players.

Second on my agenda will be giving a few of the nickname less players on our team a sweet nickname that's worth shouting from the nosebleeds of the Pepsi Center. Now I might give some nicknames to players who already have one but I will go ahead and give them ones anyways. Starting off with the future of our franchise Emmanuel Mudiay or as he will now become anointed the Mile High Magician because of his handles and passing ability. Next up is our other young guard and second half of the slash brothers Gary Harris who will now be called the Mustache Bandit because of his sweet stash as well as his ability to steal the basketball. JJ Hickson is next up and will now be called the Eater of Rebounds because no matter who is in his way he will get that rebound even if it involves pushing his own teammate out of the way. I recently found a nickname for Jameer Nelson on Wikipedia that I believe we should start calling him and that is Crib Midget which I find to be the most amazing nickname of all time. Finally we have Randy Foye who will become our Hero in a Half Shell.

Last on my agenda is a team nickname and boy does this one have some shoes to fill because the last nickname that I remember the team having was the Denver Thuggets which in my opinion is the greatest nickname of all time. But I believe I have topped that because our teams new nickname can be The Mile High Marauders. For those who don't know a marauder is, an outlaw or bandit. Which I feel is fitting for this team because they are sort of like the outlaws of the NBA a team that a few believe in who are in mostly centered in a state that seems to mostly get behind their football team. This is a new identity for a team and fans who I feel need one, I've been to a Nuggets game recently and the just electricity wasn't there. We need to adopt the role of marauders and ride through the western conference stealing wins from opposing teams while making raucous noise at home games striking fear into our opponents. Teams should not just fear our ever improving teams but also fear our legions of fans who in my opinion are the best in the NBA. Like the team says in their new advertising campaign, Its a New Day and its time we form a new Identity.
