Value in this for Denver is Cousins and Thomas back under Malone along with Gallo and Faried. Denver gets to stay in the middle of the first round and upgrade the roster. Downside is losing Nurk and the #7 pick...the 2 building blocks for the future. This would be a move where Denver is trying to maximize the Gallo/Faried window and win now. Decent plan? I'm not sure.
Value for Sacramento is they get a young prospect more capable of running with Karl in Nurk, an upgrade at PG over Collison (whom they could move in a separate deal) and someone whom Karl covets. Downside is, obvious, you have to move a franchise player. Similar to Karl/Melo, they would need a haul. I think this MIGHT be enough.
Boston gets into the top 10 of this draft (where they allegedly want to be) and gets a valuable bench player in Chandler. They move Thomas to get rid of their log jam at PG. It's basically packaging their 2 first rounders for the #7 pick and swapping Thomas for Chandler.
What do you think Nuggets fans? Doable? Too much to give up? Not enough for the Kings (feels like they would need the 16th pick to me)? Good thing I'm not a GM for our favorite team?
