The Nuggets last home game takes place on April 12th, against George Karl's Sacramento Kings (that still sounds weird). Before that game is played, let's take a look back at some Nuggets stories from this week:
.) Andrew Feinstein had an incredible story on Lafayette "Fat" Lever. Old fogies like Jeff Morton and Feinstein got to watch Lever a lot more closely than myself. Great read on the most underrated Nugget of all time.
.) Ben Hochman took a break from dreaming about hamburgers, and penned an awesome piece on the humanitarian work that Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo has been doing throughout his career.
.) Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post had a nice detailed piece up on Spencer Haywood - another former "Nugget" who just made the Hall of Fame. Haywood mostly used the Denver Rockets to jump to the NBA, but he had a monster season in Denver for the Rockets.
.) Shavlik Randolph was claimed by the Nuggets, but Chris Dempsey explains why the Nuggets will release him and the ramifications that has on the team's salary cap.
.) The latest B.S. Report has Bill Simmons and Haralabos Voulgaris talking all things NBA. They get into some General Manager talk and Simmons has this atrocious line, "The Denver guy [Tim Connelly], I don't know how that guy got his job." Nice research Simmons.
