The Nuggets seem to be in the market for a combo-guard.

The Nuggets have contacted Golden State Warriors guard Jarrett Jack, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports. This is an interesting prospects considering the team has Ty Lawson and Andre Miller under contract. Could the Nuggets be in the market for a combo guard? Would a deal to move Miller be next?

Jack currently has a $10.2 million cap hold with the Warriors and with the news that Tyreke Evans is signing with the New Orleans Pelicans for somewhere between $44M-$50M over four years - the price may be set for a player like Jack - who had a nice showing in the post-season.

Jack averaged 12.9 points and 5.6 assists for the Warriors in 79 games last season (29.7 minutes per game). Jack took 10.8 shots per game and hit 45.2% of those to go along with 40% three point shooting (just 2.6 attempts per game) and 84% foul shooting.

Nuggets fans are very familiar with Jack's game as he torched Denver for 18.8 points and 7.0 assists in six playoff games for Golden State while averaging 38 minutes per game. Jack is a scoring guard and would provide the team with a lot of pop off the bench.

What would this mean for Miller? The 37 year-old guard has two years left on his contract, but just one guaranteed at $5 million for the 2013-14 season. GM Tim Connelly said recently that Miller provides a good fit with Denver's big men, but surely the team couldn't keep him if they did bring in a guy like Jack or even Monta Ellis - another guard the team has been rumored to be interested in.
