The Nuggets may never get the respect of national folks and even local folks butfor those of us that love us some Nuggets.....here are the cold hard facts. The Nuggets are tied with only Golden State among Projected Western Confrence playoff teams for the most games played against teams above .500 and will finish that way. The numbers as of yesterday @ 12pm Spurs 30, Thunder 39, Clippers 38, Grizzlie 33, Nuggets 42, Warriors 42, Rockets 37, Lakers 40... 12 more than the Spurs, 9 more than the Gizzlies, 4 more than the Clippers, 3 more than OKC, The Nuggets are ranked third among those teams with a .615 winning record against teams above .500 . they trail only SA and OKC in that department. The Miami Heta have been on a terror as of late winners of 23 straight. The Nuggets currently have won 13 straight. Comparing the streaks, the Nuggets have played better competition on their streak then the overall body of the Heat's streak. Cutting it down and doing the math if you dial the records back 10 games, the first 13 wins of the Heat's streak still doesnt match the winning percentage of the Nuggets opponents although it closes the gap a tiny bit. All things considered, the Nuggets have played through a historically tough schedule and sit poised to attack the 3rd seed in the West or as I call it, the Varsity Confrence. Stats can be misleading and be manipulated to make ones point but as the saying goes "Men lie, women lie, Numbers DONT".
