The Denver Nuggets: New Blood vs. Old Guard

The New York Knicks are coming to the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets in what will be an exciting game to watch. The anticipation of the Knicks playing the Nuggets is not one focused on the way the two teams play, nor on their standings and stats. Nobody is really going to talk much about Knicks climbing up to the second spot on the Eastern Conference. Likewise, there won't be much talk about the tear the Nuggets are on. Not during this game, at least.

It's the players, and specifically the New York Knicks ones, who will be the center of conversations.

The New York Knicks have enough ex-Denver players to create a starting lineup; a group of men who played together when they were with the Nuggets not too long ago. It's been interesting to watch ex-Nugget after ex-Nugget join the Knicks, making it seem like they were taking all of Denver's "has beens," so to speak. The Denver Nuggets are a way better team than they were when this more seasoned group of men played in the Mile High City (although Felton's stay was very short-lived).

Part of the New York Knicks roster includes the following ex-Denver Nuggets:

Compare the above list to the current roster and it is clear that the chemistry on the team has changed tremendously. The game played is a very different one. It is no longer centered around one star player, i.e. Carmelo Anthony. The Denver Nuggets now play a team game, passing the ball and taking smarter, open shots, transforming a perimeter shooting team to one that dominates in the paint.

It will be electrifying in the Pepsi Center, to say the least, when the former Denver Nuggets players step on the court. Some fans will be excited to see the ex-Nuggets and others might not welcome them back with such open arms. Regardless of how fans might react, it is always an extravaganza when former players come back to the Pepsi Center.
