GN: Andre and Ty step up their game

While the Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies are on streaks, the formerly hot Golden State Warriors continue to fall further down the Western conference standings.

USA TODAY Sports

This is going to be a fairly short Golden Nuggets today due to some unfortunate timing issues.

That said, it's been amazing to watch Ty Lawson and Andre Iguodala play over the last few games. Both Ty and Andre have come up huge in Danilo Gallinari's absence due to a left thigh bruise, putting the team on their backs and picking up the scoring load. Ty has looked more aggressive than he has perhaps all season, and Iguodala had perhaps his best game as a Denver Nugget last night against the Portland Trailblazers, posting 29 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals.

A big test for the Nuggets looms as they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday (8:30 MST) in the Pepsi Center to start off the month of March. The Nuggets' performance in the month will have enormous bearing on whether or not they secure home court advantage, and it starts on Friday with a victory over the Thunder.

Feel free to use this as your OT thread of the day as well. There were some amazing games yesterday (not just the Nuggets win over the Blazers), and they're all worth checking out.
