Let's See if We Can Figure This thing Out...

First off, I love this site, not only for the great work the sites organizers do covering our squad, but also for the informative and thoroughly entertaining comments by all my fellow Stiffs. You are all so good its scary to throw my thoughts in the mix, but after this start, and all I have read and seen with my own eyes, I want to try and work this out aloud and hopefully you guys can tell me what you think.

I have committed to show patience with Brian Shaw, I like him and think his potential will one day be realized. I was on the fence about George leaving. Great coach, but like all of us the one and done was infuriating, and at last seasons end I was accepting the logic that we needed to try something different, still believing we could get 45-50 wins out of this team. I think a differential of more than 15 games is unacceptable. 15 is even pushing it for me. If I throw out last seasons insane mark, lets agree that an average during the Karl tenure is about 51 games? Considering the change in system, which I DO NOT think should include eliminating running, and we know Shaw has said that isn't his intention. 10 games to play with seems fair. 15 is still acceptable, more than that is not.

So fire Shaw?? Of course not but he has to be more amiable in this situation, considering he inherited a team that was not designed by or for him. Use rotations and a system that play to his teams strengths. So far the rotations have been dreadful. How could anyone establish a rhythm with that kind erratic playing time? I said the first ten games were his to do with what he wished, but I wrongfully assumed that meant maybe a .500 record. I hope he changes his tune quick, and doesn't become as stubborn as George was at the end.

I have a few other points I'd like feed back on. With all I have seen, and trust my I am either watching or at every single game so I feel I have some grounds to speak, the future of this team ought to be focused around Ty, Kenneth, Gallo, Fournier. Right behind them I like the potential of Quincy, MOZ and Chandler. I like Javale but I don't think its going to work out. Jordan Hamilton will be serviceable but never elite. Hixon, I am sorry I really don't get that one at all, especially since everyone was very open to getting rid of Kenneth because of him. I see our power forwards like this Kenneth, then Arthur, then Hixon, then Randolph. Randolph to me is eh, ok nothing to write home about.

The Kenneth situation perplexes me the most. To me he is the face of this franchise. Why is there a constant conversation about what we can get for him? I look at his gifts, which are rare, and his desire to work hard and become the best player he can be and think why would we not bet on this kid? Get him a big man coach, and let him grow into what I feel is Allstar potential, and the heart of our team. We could get draft picks that are gamble, or a quality player at another position, that would help in some ways, but the void of Kenneth would be missed. All I think about when I hear that talk is, OMG we're gonna get Mutombo'd again(yes I used that as a verb). That scares the hell out of me.

Is anyone untouchable? No, this is about getting better, if there was a deal to get Lebron for Kenneth count me in. If not I'd rather keep him and put my money on 35. Ty? For an uptempo system he fits us so well, but hay if we could lure Rondo away from Boston I'd be very intrigued by a swap. Gallo is another I feel is nearly untouchable, I see greatness in that kid, I can't explain. I know the injuries are frustrating, but I again I think he's worth the gamble. I love Wilson be he is on the table if it makes us better. Andre well, we all pretty much agree on what we get with Andre.

Thats was a lot and if you see this post and think, I'm not reading all of that, I understand, but if you are gracious enough with your time to skim it, and add your thoughts I would love some outside perspective on this, and you are all so highly knowledgeable I defer to your excellent appraisals of our most unfortunate situation. I still believe in the Nuggs to be 100% clear! I'm going to try and contribute and post a whole lot more. Thanks for your time, LETS GO NUGGETS!!
