After working out Chris Andersen, 34 years-old, earlier this month, the Heat have signed the Birdman to a 10-day contract, according to Heat owner Micky Arison.

Hopefully the Birdman will have a positive impact with the Heat.
Andersen appeared in 32 games for the Nuggets last season and averaged 5.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 15 minutes per game. Andersen's role on the team diminished as Kenneth Faried, Kosta Koufos, and Timofey Mozgov took on bigger roles with the team last season. Andersen was amnestied after the season and has been a free agent, until being signed by the Heat.
Andersen's legal issues have been updated, here.
