I'm sure most of you have seen the 4 team blockbuster rumors floating around that Denver is supposedly involved with. The deal so far by sources has Dwight Howard and Al Harrington to the Lakers, Pau Gasol and Arron Afflalo to the Magic, Andrew Bynum to the 76ers and Iguodala to the Nuggets.
First things first...I love Iggy. I think he be a perfect fit for us. He is a legit defender. just a quick stat, he plays almost 40 minutes per game and held his player to 9.9 ppg and 40% shooting last year and is always defending the best wing player on the court. He is a pointfoward type wing player that is a great passer and rebounder. He is a poor free throw shooter though and isn't as consistant shooting as you would like at times. But he is a beast in transition.
I love Afflalo but trading him and Al is a no brainer for Iggy straight up.
One thing i WAS hesistant about...is helping LA land D12 a good thing? I wasnt sure on this which is why i wouldn't even consider this an issue when thinking about whether to do the trade in the end. LA is giving up Bynum AND Gasol. It's a possiblity they get worse, not better with D12. Worst possible outcome, both teams get better because we sure do with Iggy.
