Now that the trades and signings are done, what does everyone think our line-up should look like for the rest of this year and what should we plan for next off season? Below I have placed my ideas to get it started, so feel free to tear it up.
This years base line-up and minutes:
McGee(28) Mozgov(15) Koufos(5)
Faried(28) Harrington(15) Koufos(5)
Galinari(33) Chandler(15)
Affialo(33) Chandler(15)
Lawson(33) Miller(15)
Plan by position:
C - Keep pushing both Mozgov and McGee to see who is the best fit to start while keeping Koufos as the primary back-up. Money of course will factor in in case anyone wants to overpay McGee.
PF - Keep developing Faried and watch for trades for Harrington for aa better option. I do like what he brings now when not over used but age catches us all.
SF - Galinari is there to stay and we just need to see how Chandler can fill the 6th man role here. Hopefully it works well. Keep Brewer for his drive and energy off the bench unless needed to add for a great trade.
SG - Allow Afflalo to continue to get back to his old self. If not look for trade. Allow Fernandez to return home. Get Hamilton off season work as he may be a big part of the future.
PG - Lawson is here for the future so get him locked into long term contract. Let Miller go find his starting gig. Pick-up Stones option as a cheap back-up. This should be the target position for the draft and possibly FA pick-up.
* I don't feel any major changes will be needed and the FO should continue to remain patient and wait for teams to come to them. Denver has more assets than anyone.
