We have seen players get "star" calls where the refs don't call it exactly fair according to the book. A lot of that has to do with the exposure of a "star" player in the national media. Since Denver is basically in "fly over" land according to the mainstream media, it rarely gets the national exposure given to large market teams especially on the coasts. Now we have a nice chance at a season long exposure on the national level that is simply unheard of for this team.
The jump below.
What players do you think will get the best chance on getting "star" calls because of this exposure? My choice for first player to benefit would be Ty Lawson as he plays a very dynamic visible position that plays well for the media. Gallo would be my second player because of the attractiveness of his match up against the other star players at his position that can be hyped up.
I would love to see Nene get the calls but it may be too late for him as he has been in the league long enough that the refs have an ingrained reaction not to give him those sorts of calls.
