Long time no talk. This is the time of the year where I would be getting back into the swing of things with the Stiffs on here. However no basketball changes everything and makes me very sad. While I miss all of our interesting convos and Nuggets talk and I hope it returns soon I just wanted to mention the Russian Jet plane that crashed last week and killed an entire KHL hockey team. KHL is essentially the NHL in Russia. Among the players killed some of you may know a few names: Pavol Demitra, former Avs Karlis Skrastins and Ruslon Salei just to name a few. The ages of these players ranged from 20 years to 40 years old. Some with families, some still considered the baby in their family. Many of you know I play hockey as I have made that very well known the last year and a half. I have done a kids camp with Karlis Skrastins in Aurora a few years ago through my High School team. He was a very nice individual. Didn't say much but was always smiling and appreciated the game of hockey. I just thought everyone should be aware of this tragedy if not already. I am still deeply upset over this horrible accident and thought maybe some of you sport fans would like to say a few words if not thats okay. Just don't say anything stupid please. I hope basketball starts up again soon so we can go back to the gool ol days. Take care everyone.
