Denver Nuggets? Kevin Love?

Hi guys,

This is my first fan post so I hope it is up to standard with the other great ones I've read. But just how exactly can we see Kevin Love in a Nuggets jersey soon? Look below.

Nuggets: JR. Smith, Wilson Chandler, and future second round draft picks

for

Timberwolves: Kevin Love and Martell Webster.

The Nuggets, as we all know, have a lot of great players who are free agents this summer. One of the biggest problems will be if unrestricted free agent Nene decides to part with the organisation. And with JR. Smith 99% leaving and other players being seriously considered by other teams, the Nuggets could make a move that would change the franchise into a serious contender in the West.

Kevin Love has already stated that he wants out of Minnesota, however, he has not made a big issue like Melo did last year. And the Timberwolves would not let him walk away for nothing. Plus, it would make sense of them to clear out their logjam at the post positions with young and improving players; Michael Beasley at SF, Derrick Williams at PF, and Darko Milicic at C. What the Timberwolves lack severely is scoring and shooting at the wing.

For the Timberwolves, JR Smith could start at the 2 spot and be given the green light to take more shots than he would in Denver. He could probably lead the team in scoring and average near 20ppg. Derrick Williams would get to start straight away and gain quick experience. Plus, while the TWolves would give up Love, who is still improving, they gain a wing player who is similar to Beasley and also improving much.

For Denver, we would have one of the most complete teams in the league. With Love playing the 5 he will provide great rebounding for a team who is losing their starting center(Nene) and leading rebounder(K-Mart) to age. And a big problem the Nuggets had over the past few seasons was rebounder, which explains why Kenneth Faried was drafted. With both of them starting in the paint, the Nuggets will have one of the most intimidating front courts in the NBA. And with Galinari and Afflalo being very good shooters, on offence the flow should go smoothly. If Love decides to play a while on the perimeter, it opens up the floor for Ty Lawson to penetrate and drive to the hoop with ease.

While the details above should make a lot of sense for both teams, you may be asking yourself, "Why Martell Webster?". Simply to make the trade more favorable for the Wolves. JR Smith is expected to around 6mil. and Wilson Chandler would make between 3-5mil. So their combined salary would be near 10mil. Kevin Love's salary is only about 4mil. so the wolves can get rid of their bench wing player Martell Webster(5.5mil.) to make salary player room. And because both Denver and Minnesota have a lot of salary space, this trade could lead to more changes for both teams. If the TWolves wanted to use Chandler to find a better center and let Beasley own the SF spot they could spend big. Or sign Tyson Chandler if they wanted to. The Nuggets would also have salary to beef up their bench. If this trade went down, both teams would look like this...

TWolves

Ricky Rubio, JR Smith, Michael Beasley, Derrick Williams, Darko Milicic

Luke Ridnour, Wesley Johnson, Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph, Brad Miller

Nuggets

Ty Lawson, Arron Afflalo, Danillo Galinari, Kenneth Faried, Kevin Love

Andre Miller, Martell Webster, Al Harrington, Chris Anderson, Timofey Mozgov

The Timberwolves' new look is very athletic with Smith, Beasley, Williams, and Tolliver on the bench.

The Nuggets have a very complimentary starting and bench line up. Would it be beneficiary for both teams?

Well probably more so for Denver however, this is a good trade for Minnesota if Love was going to leave one or another way.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this read. If you have any questions or comments feel free to express them. I am just an amateur writer still in school so any feedback would be great.
