A Mile High Salute to the Denver Nuggets

I just wanted to thank the current Denver Nuggets and all of the executives for providing all of the fans with a great post Melo team. I grew up with Melo leading the team and thought the Nuggets would fall apart without Carmelo and Billups. Instead, the front office went out and got four great players and the Nuggets went on to play great basketball and give a really good Thunder team all that they could handle. The Thunder may have won in five, but the Nuggets played well enough to win this series and it says a hell of a lot that a team that played only twenty games together could challenge a team that could likely end up in the NBA Finals. I can only hope that the core of this team can stay together and become a force in the West for the years to come and show David Stern and the NBA that there is more to basketball than superstars and that a team can be greater than the sum of its parts. This season started in chaos and ended with nothing but optimism for the future. It has been a wild ride and I thank the Denver Nuggets and all of the front office and the great fans for making this season such a memorable one and giving us fans hope for the future.
