It's clear he's sabotaging the team with his terrible coaching. It's well known that he doesn't know how to utilize timeouts, doesn't understand the concepts of momentum and rhythm, pulls players out when they're hot (Melo even refused one time because he knows first-hand how clueless Karl is), doesn't draw up good plays (Kmart 20 foot jumper out of timeout, no inbounding play costing 2009 WCF), has a gigantic ego (doesn't play JR because of his personal dislike of him), cannot COACH (J.R. SMITH).

What does he do well as a coach? He gets his teams to play pretty good defense but his winning record is only because he lucked out and got to be in charge of ridiculously talented rosters only to ruin them every post season where his bad coaching is exposed.
