As a fan of this nuggets team i would hate to see it disbanded because of money reasons. We may have alot of free agents next year but we also have alot of cap space and most other teams do not. I started putting together some spreadsheets and found the salary situation may not look to bad after all
Apart from some other team offering some crazy contract ( which for most cap space teams would require all their space used on one player ) all our players can be had long term by using frontloaded contracts to make use of cap room this year and save it for the future (Gallo/Ty)

As you can see the contracts of Nene, Afflalo and Chandler get fronloaded so by the time Gallo and ty come up we have room for them. Jr stays even with a team option/ incentives built in.
- Nene gets a 4 yr 45.5m extension either after his player option or he opts out and it starts next season. his value is somewhere between Perkins and Horford
- Chandler gets 5yr 40m slightly more than Travis Outlaw and same as Tyrus Thomas exept decreasing
- Smith and Arron both get 4 yr 26m but could get more as the total will only sit around 65 m
- Kmart gets 3 yrs similar to Mosgov's contract
- Gallo gets similar to Gerald Wallace
Notes: ATL/OKC got a steal with Horford/Perks contract, If nuggets do good enough and Felton wants to stay we could keep him on for remainder of contract but I dont see us keeping him further. Use 2011 pick on PG (Nolan Smith or Brandon Knight), Trade Harrington with picks, Koufos, cash for any expiring before Ty comes up. Look for Houston, Sacremento, Cleveland to try steal Chandler/AAA
