Who gets the minutes and how to keep them happy?

George Karl was quoted in the DP saying he coaches best with a short bench.

I've got to think it's easier - in the short term - to manage an 8-player rotation like they had last night vs. Memphis. Obviously a deep bench is important over the course of the season but last night showed the benefits of a short bench - everyone gets PT and everyone gets shots. They were relaxed and not afraid to be aggressive. Guys like JR and Lawson - who can dictate the pace of a game - were playing instinctively knowing they weren't going to get yanked.

I'm excited to see how all the new pieces fit together but I'm also wondering how Karl is going to manage the minutes. Whether it's the Y-League or the NBA, everyone wants to play.

Given that it doesn't appear the Nuggets are going to make any more moves, I like Andrew's idea of running two units. Kind of like youth league basketball. Shift out the whole team every five minutes or so. Not everyone would get 30-35 mins but everyone would get time. As Andrew suggested, the current Nugs would start and the former Knicks (including Harrington) unit would rotate in. There would already be chemistry among the two units and the new guys would be have the new system modeled for them. Come to think of it, I'm not sure there is system, so maybe that's not an issue. So it'd look something like this:

C: Nene/Mozgoff

PF: KMart/Chandler

SF: JR/Harrington

SG: AAA/Gallo

PG: Lawson/Felton

Birdman/Forbes available as needed.

The Nuggets just may have the deepest team in the league. It's a good problem to have but I'm curious to see if Karl can keep everyone playing hard and playing well. AC, Balkman, Williams weren't used to minutes but the new guys are. Something's going to have to give. Anyone have thoughts on how this roster should be managed?
