"Some Stars align, and some just never will" Game

Hello Nugget fans, I am happy to say It is over. Yes, the MeloDrama has finally come to a conclusion leaving the Nuggets with tough goodbyes to Denver's favorite child, Chauncey Billups and the guy that brought this franchise back to relevance over the past 7 years.

While it is hard to say goodbye to the great 7 year run Melo brought us, to our favorite home town guy in Chauncey, to Sheldon "Candice Parker" Williams and our old friend AC, we have to move on and say hello to our newest Nuggets. While I'm sure a lot of "Denver Nugget fans" turned into New York Knick fans overnight, it is up to us die hard Nugget fans to keep basketball going in the Mile High City.

This brings great opportunities for several players to claime the "Mile High Man" status of the Denver Nuggets most notibly Ty Lawson, Nene and yes, JR Smith. This brings me to the quote I mentioned earlier. It is a quote that many basketball fans alike can lable on JR Smith at this point in his career. I for one think JR Smith can find some sort of Star alignment if he's up for the challenge.

Is he up for the challenge? That is the true question. While his quotes of the few days say that he is, the question still remains and is a question that can only be answered throughout the rest of the season. I ask that all you JR haters give the kid one last shot. See how he adapts to playing without Melo and having the opportunity of being "The main guy" on a basketball team. Everyone knows he has the potential to do it and with the right motivation and support I think he can.

Now I know some people will read this, shake their head at it and say "NastyNessy when are you gonna get off JR, He's a lost cause" my response is, give the kid a shot. This is a new opportunity for a lot of players including the newcomers. There is a chance for them to step up and play for the true lable of a franchise player and of course, that nice pay day. Gallo, you were never going to have the opportunity to be the man in New York with Amare', so now make your case and show us Denver fans that you should be the main guy. Same to you JR . I for one will give my full support to whatever team Denver throws on the court, but I see tremendous upside in this team that I feel many others are truely looking past. I challenege all of you stiffs to cheer these Denver Nuggets even harder than you did before, and you may be surpirsed with the outcome.
