I have been trying my hardest to sit still and watch our reserve keep us in the game. Enter the Bird. Seriously, we often talk about how toxic a contract Kenyon has or how Balkman doesn't put forward enough interest in practice. Honestly I would much rather have those two in the game then Bird. Kenyon at least plays defense and can somewhat score. From what we've seen of Balkman he at least hustles when he is in the game. Now that is not to say that the Bird does not hustle, but come on, if i had a dollar for every time he bit on a head fake i would be rolling in a Benz right now. I have watched on numerous occasions of how a player has been shut out and suddenly rejuvenated when the bird is playing "D". Sheldon can at least secure rebounds (sometimes) and hit an occasional lay up. I know the bird was bitten by the injury bug, but so was Kenyon so don't give me that "he is working his way back crap." He is only an energy guy on occasion when playing at home, and honestly if you are paying a guy 5 million a year for perhaps 21 "energy games" then that is more a waist of money than watching Godfather III in the theaters. But I've spoken my peace and maybe he'll turn it around...Here's hoping.
