While this video is faily old and many of you may have already seen this video or heard the story, it was brought to my attention tonight.

Forget all the money, the Melodrama, the desire to play in a big market, the winning, the losing, the politics, the officiating, who's a star, who is starting, who is pouting, who is fighting, the off court shinanigans that haunt the sport on a daily basis and take a deep breath. Stop worrying about scoring a certain amount a game or impressing a certain celebrity in the stands to start your next 77 day marriage and truly embrace the power this game has. The true beauty that can ensue from a simple game. This video literally gave me goosebumps and really lead me to question the game and take a long hard look at how the NBA is run and all the non sense we debate on a daily basis. This was a breath of fresh air for me and for my love of the sport itself. Congrats to this amazing young man and what he accomplished.

The love, compassion, drive and togetherness that he shows is envious for anything you do and how he was rewarded was simply amazing. I know there are stories like this but this one really affected me. I hope the NBA situation is resolved soon and while we all know it won't be perfect and there will always be the problems listed above at least this one moment shed light on the true artistry of the sport of basketball.
