Kenyon Martin is Bad

No, not bad, terrible. No, not just terrible. Awful, worst starter in the league, should be bought out, sent to the D-league, there are not words to describe. Let me say it like this. Every team in the league has a power forward better than Kenyon Martin except for Golden State. No really, I went through and checked, every single one.

Now, 16 teams in the league have two power forwards better than Martin. I won't bore you with the list but 16, c'mon. Now, of those 16 one Western Conference team has 3 PF's better than Kenyon, yes, you guessed it, San Antonio. Most of SA's players of course come off the scrap heap or the bottom of the draft, but they still play better than Kenyon.

Alright, before you start telling me that Harrington or Shelden is the answer let me tell you this. The PF position for the Nuggets is a black hole. Not just dark, black. Pitch black, no stars out, night vision goggles don't work, get ready to scream black. This is obvious to those who watch the team play. Harrington can't guard anyone. Kenyon is a shadow of his former self and his former self wasn't that good. Don't give me the toughness, Thugget excuse either. Yeah, the one that says that Kenyon does the little things that show up outside of the statistics thing because he negates all that with silly fouls, a lack of focus, and his penchant for putting himself out of position four times a game by going for ridiculous blocks. For all the Shelden fans out there, there is a reason Shelden is on a veteran's minimum contract. If they could all be put together there would be a good player but each has enormous deficiencies.

With such a glaring lack of talent at this incredibly important position it's surprising the Nuggets are as high as they are in the rankings. If a miracle happens and Melo signs with Denver I would be surprised if the Nuggets even got out of the first round with their PF hole. Carl Landry and Antawn Jamison (yes crazy high contract) would be two guys who could really upgrade the position. Landry specifically because the thrives off of garbage buckets and has a great mid-range shot.
