I feel we have a team that can do well in the playoffs even without Melo, as long as we get the right player in return for him.
Maybe it's time for the front office to look for opportunities with Teams that want to get rid of a big name with a salary they want to get rid of.
Some ideas that I have thought about are:
Melo to Philly for Andre iguodala... Philly rents Melo and cuts out salary.
Melo and to Detroit for Prince....It sounds like Detroit is trying to get rid of Prince.
Maybe we can do a bigger deal and add in Balkman and get Rip too.
Go back to the Nets and offer a smaller deal...Melo and Balkman for Favors, Murphy and 1 pick.
Melo to the Grizz for OJ Mayo.
Melo to Golden state for David Lee....not sure if they would bite on that but worth a try.
Melo to the Bobcats for Wallace....sounds like they want to get rid of some salary.
Melo to the Twolves for Beasley....gives us a young scoring forward.
These are just a few that I can come with. Please post any other ideas or thoughts about these trades.
