About time for someone to get 10 assists

Hello to all the stiffs out here! I've been following this site for quite some time now and finally I decided to join the show. I am from Romania (like in Eastern Europe), thus it's pretty difficult for me to follow live all the action (since Romania is 9 hours ahead of M.T.), but I usually get up in the night to watch all matches that start at 8.30 M.T. (like the Heat game that is tonight).

Any way, since I am quite a stats guy, I was wondering when was the last time a Nugget recorded a double-double with points & assists. Since I knew nobody did such a thing this season, I had to check out the box scores from last season. Incredibly, it's been almost a year since any of our beloved Nuggets accomplished such a feat. It was January the 31st when Chauncey had 25 points to go with 11 assists and 6 rebounds in a win at San Antonio. After that, only one other player ever recorded more than 10 assists and that is Denver Stiffs favorite AAAACCCCCCCC (March the 3rd, when he had 12 assists, but only 4 points - I still can't imagine him having 12 assists, probably the first 3 rows were considered to be part of the floor).

I checked out all the other teams..and there was at least one player on each team who had at least one game of 10+ points and 10+ assists. Assists are quite subjective, but in general it means it generates an easy bucket. The more assists a team has, the less the offense stalls and is predictable. I know most of our offense is based on iso plays and also because we get to the line so often the assists are not quite as easy to get, but still..no double double in almost a year?!?! I think this is inexcusable, since we have above-average passers on our team (hell, even Nene could have 10 assists one night if he is in his passive-passing mood).

Well, hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship..and i look forward to spanking some "Heatles" asses tonight! (I usually am the optimist warrior type of guy)

Also, in order for my first post to bring some self-confidence in my inner-stiff :) I am curious who you think will be the next nugget to record the prohibited double double. In order to get this done, I created this poll:
