Kenyon Martin: an all-time Stiff

I'm sorry, but Kenyon Martin's attitude about taking his time with rehab until he gets an extension offer is just about the most Stiff-like, selfish, ungrateful, asinine quote that I have ever heard from a Denver Nugget.

Yesterday, Nuggets power forward Kenyon Martin said that he would be playing "right now" if he had an extension. Then K-Mart went on to rip the contract given to Al Harrington:

"...they gave Al the money. I don’t have any problem with Al, but me and Al play the same position."

In addition to saying:

"I’m not rushing, whatsoever. The day I come back is the day I come back. I’m in the last year of my deal, we all know it. Ain’t nobody in a hurry to give me one, so I’m not going to be in a hurry to come back. Think about it: Ain’t nobody in a hurry to give me a contract, so why would I be in a hurry to rush back and risk further injury. Makes all the sense in the world, right?"

God, what a horrible, horrible sign and trade the Nuggets made when they acquired Martin. He has drained the Nuggets dry with his HUGE contract, the draft picks lost, his tantrums in the locker room, the injuries, his flat jump shot, the technicals, etc.

I am so over K-Mart - - bye bye bye.
