Sure, he's coming off knee surgery, fat, old and slow.  And I know no one really likes him, but we're in major need of a big man.  Especially bc we dont know what the status of Kmart, Birdman and now Nene will be this season.

I'm not sure how we'd make it work.  For one thing, I doubt Stan wants to spend anymore money this season since we're already into the luxury tax.  And it seems like Dampier cant agree to a new contract with the Bobcats so I'm assuming hes wanting more than the vet min. 

Would it be possible for Charlotte to waive Dampier and sign him to a 2 year contract, with this year equaling our TPE ($3.7M?) or less and then trade him to us?  We could even throw in a 2nd rd pick and/or maybe some cash for their troubles.
